Francesca Longo Biography

“Francesca Longo is a Czech–Italian artist born in Milan in 2000.
She holds a degree in Philosophy and a Master of Arts at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Multimedia Arts of Cinema and Video. Working across painting, video art, and experimental documentary film, her practice investigates memory, intimacy, and the dialogue between microcosm and macrocosm.”

“My artistic practice navigates the porous boundary between the internal and external world, the macrocosm and the microcosm, seeking to map human experience within a universal framework. Across video, painting, and found media, I explore the cyclical nature of existence, ecological interconnectedness, and the entangled relationship between memory, perception, and the intimate relationship with the past.

Throughout my work, I am drawn to moments where parallel worlds overlap: personal and collective, ancient and futuristic, organic and technological. I see the digital realm not as an escape, but as a reflective surface that amplifies our desires, anxieties, and unresolved questions about identity and belonging.”
