Muhammad Asad Gulzar Biography

Muhammad Asad Gulzar is a visual artist born in 1991 in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from CEAD, MUET, Jamshoro in 2014, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma (2019) and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts (2022) from the National College of Arts, Lahore.

Known for his intricate freehand line drawings using pointer and graphite pencil, Asad explores emotional depth through a visual language rooted in light, shadow, and subtle contrasts. His work reflects themes of introspection and human experience.

He has participated in 29 national group exhibitions across major galleries in Pakistan, including V.M. Art Gallery, Sanat Initiative, Khaas Contemporary, and O Art Space. He also exhibited internationally at the 2018 International Watercolor Biennale and has been featured in international art publications. Asad previously served as a Fine Arts Instructor at CEAD from 2017 to 2018.
