Razieh Mirzaee Biography

Razieh Mirzaee is an Afghan woman artist whose journey to freedom and creative expression has been shaped by resilience, courage, and a profound love for nature and art. Having endured years of hardship, she made the difficult journey from Iran to Northern Ireland in search of a place where she could live and create freely.

Now based in Antrim, Razieh draws deep inspiration from the natural world, particularly in her animal portraiture. Her work captures not only the beauty of animals but also their spirit and the silent stories they carry. Through her paintings, she explores themes of healing, strength, and the quiet yet powerful connection between humans and nature.

For Razieh, art is more than a profession—it is a form of healing, a means of resistance, and a quiet celebration of freedom.

She has exhibited her work at Antrim Library and taken part in several local events, including the Garden Show at Antrim Castle Gardens, the Castle Mall Christmas Market, and additional festive markets in Belfast.
