“My creative language is fueled by painting women from my own surroundings, within domestic interiors and lush foliage.
Rooted in feminist ideologies, my work visually examines how women shape, and are shaped by the spaces they inhabit. Draped and layered surfaces allow intimacy and memory to settle into my paintings.
Working patiently in layers, I draw on womanhood and personal history to honor everyday resilience.
These figures are not anonymous muses but lived relationships of mine, strengthened within environments that are personal and homely to me. My oils celebrate women who quietly shaped me into who I am.”
