Muhammad Zubair Mughal is a contemporary calligrapher whose work reflects a fusion of spiritual passion, cosmic imagination, and deep reverence for the written word. Guided by his mentor Mr. Ejaz, Zubair developed his unique style, blending classical calligraphy with vibrant, abstract compositions that echo the rhythms of the galaxy.
His contributions to the art world span over a decade. He has held a solo exhibition at Hamail Art Gallery, Lahore (2021), and participated in numerous national and international group exhibitions, including Coppera Art Gallery (Lahore), Nomad Gallery (Islamabad), Satrang Gallery at Serena Hotel, Institute of Art and Design (Faisalabad), Alhamra Art Council, Art Scene Gallery (Karachi), Ejaz Art Gallery, Gallery 21 (Islamabad), and shows in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Algeria.
He’s also showcased at the Sarir-e-Khama International Calligraphy Conference at Punjab University and notable themed exhibitions like “Kun Faya Kun.”
Zubair’s achievements include receiving the 3rd position award from President Mamnoon Hussain (2018), 1st position in Sialkot (2018), and medals from Sargodha University and other institutions. He earned 3rd positions in national calligraphy contests in Peshawar and Gojra (2019), and 2nd place at the All Pakistan Calligraphy Competition (2021), awarded by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
Zubair continues to inspire with his imaginative yet soulful work, inviting viewers to witness the spiritual beauty of language through color, rhythm, and form.
